Flip

  • FLIP allows subscribers to take control of their mobile experience. We partner with carriers to give their subscribers the ability to get a brand-new device any time they want or need for any reason. We white label FLIP to our carrier partners, who in turn offer the program in their own branding. Learn more about FLIP.

  • There is no catch. With FLIP, subscribers can get a brand-new device any time and remaining contractual obligations are waived. It could be the first month or the seventeenth month of ownership. It doesn’t matter. Subscribers don’t need to “prove” they’re worthy of a new device either. Any reason, or no reason at all, will do. The device could be damaged, missing, or simply out of style.

  • A FLIP subscriber simply hands in their current device via existing carrier channels – online, in stores, in-home services – and picks out any brand-new device of their choice. It could be a newer version of the same model; it could be a completely different brand. The subscriber has total freedom to choose their next device. Remaining obligations on their existing contract ends and the new device purchase contract begins.

  • All returned devices are repurposed by Kingfisher Nexus. We have two main priorities for returned devices: security and sustainability. Each device from the FLIP program goes through an extensive data-wipe to remove any remaining sensitive information. It is then repurposed for the most useful 2nd life. We strive to keep as many used devices out of landfills as possible.

  • Please contact your telecommunications provider directly, either online or in store, for specific information on activating a device swap, trade-in, or upgrade. Kingfisher works behind the scenes with your telecommunications provider to offer mobile experience solutions, rather than directly with consumers.

Nexus

  • Nexus repurposes devices to make used devices more useful. Nexus works with industry-leading telco partners to source devices from FLIP and external sources that capture devices that may otherwise be discarded, like obsolete inventory. Devices are then routed through our diverse channel network to maximize their usefulness.

  • There are several routes to purchasing devices from Nexus and our team can work with you to find the best fit based on your need. We routinely offer large quantities of devices through our auction portal. We also set up ongoing wholesale arrangements with those looking for steady supply of used devices.
