Yuji Kiyose, expert in device protection, joins Kingfisher to enable the next generation of device experiences

Yuji Kiyose recently joined Kingfisher as Executive Vice President, Japan. He is an accomplished business leader in the telecommunication and finance industry, with deep industry knowledge and expertise in sales and business development. He has an impressive track record in building a foundation of services and operations, adding value with programs such as device protection, tech support, and device trade-in with large carriers.

As the former CEO of Asurion Japan, he was responsible for building the device protection business from scratch, eventually scaling operations to support 40 million subscribers. The initial offering was designed in the era of the feature phone, and with Yuji’s guidance, evolved to suit changing customer needs, resulting in wide smartphone adoption. His keen focus is always on how the business can improve both customer service and operational efficiency.

Yuji Kiyose will lead Kingfisher’s business development in Japan and work with our joint venture partner, Sumitomo Corporation. His wealth of experience and in-depth industry knowledge will accelerate innovation in the Japanese mobile industry.
